چکیده
Salmonellosis is a significant public health concern around the world. The issue of antibiotic resistance, particularly in non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS), global threat to human and animal health. Thirty-five enterica subsp. serotype Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium) isolated from various chicken samples were tested for antimicrobial-resistant profiling using disc diffusion method. strains further examined presence resistance genes by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) according published protocols. Phenotype revealed that 22.9% (8 out 35) isolates showed five antibiotics used this study. All penta-resistant carried blaTEM, floR, strA, tetA gene which encoded ampicillin, chloramphenicol, streptomycin, tetracycline resistance. Only one isolate (1 was found contain sulfonamides sulA gene. Nine susceptible all do not harbor any resistant associated genes. These findings provide evidence contributes phenotypic profile, thus could give rise emergence drug-resistant strain Salmonella.

We have studied the frequency of antimicrobial resistance and epidemiological relatedness among 473 isolates of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar typhimurium (S. typhimurium) from human and veterinary sources. The human strains were clinical isolates from patients with diarrhoea sent to the State Serum Institute during August 1993 (228 isolates). The animal strains were isolated from ...

The presence of the chloramphenicol resistance genes cat, cmlA, flo, and the role of plasmids and class 1 integrons in the spread and persistence of chloramphenicol resistance were investigated on a collection of 40 Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium strains isolated from animals and humans in Hungary, by PCR and conjugation. Three groups of chloramphenicol resistant strains were identifie...

We have identified Salmonella genomic island I (SGI1) in an isolate of Salmonella enterica serotype Paratyphi B. This antibiotic-resistance gene cluster, which confers multidrug resistance, has been previously identified in S. enterica serotype Typhimurium phage types DT 104 and DT 120 and in S. enterica serotype Agona.
